Eve Hurwitz

State Senate District 33

Eve Hurwitz has a history of serving her country and community. She aggressively advocates for the needs of families, small businesses, and veterans and passionately dedicates her life to making the world significantly better.

Eve actively served in the military from 2002 to 2010 and accrued almost 1000 aircraft hours. She deployed twice aboard USS ENTERPRISE with VAW-123, the first carrier-based Navy squadron in the world to operate in support of special warfare. As a Naval Flight Officer, Eve was Mission Commander in the E-2C Hawkeye for combat missions over Iraq and Afghanistan. She is currently a Lieutenant Commander in the Navy Reserve.

Eve works daily to empower mothers and bring families to the forefront of America‚Äôs priorities. As a Director of The Milky Way Foundation, she was integral to the success of the critically-acclaimed documentary, The Milky Way, which was honored as an Official Selection for the Hollywood Film Festival, Choice! Film Festival, and others. Eve also supports earned sick days and family leave legislation, as well as legislation that champions equitable treatment for women, minorities, veterans, immigrants, and marginalized communities.


To support entrepreneurs and businesses in improving their financial acumen and portfolios, Eve co-founded EvenJohn, LLC and is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor with over 23 years of experience. She is the owner of The QuickBooks Badass, a full-service bookkeeping and financial services company with clients in all arenas of business, across all company sizes.

Eve began her grassroots advocacy by working on several political campaigns at the state and federal level. Eve then organized the Annapolis Women's March in January 2017 and founded March On Maryland, the group that organized the March for Science, Rally for Healthcare, March for Racial Justice, Women's March 2018, and Vigil for The Capital in Annapolis. She is also a board member of March On, a nonprofit founded by Women's March organizers from across the country who are building political power with the millions of marchers and their supporters.

Eve Hurwitz's policies are informed by her time in the military, as a mother, and as a business owner with experience in multiple industries. Eve is passionate about taking care of people, regardless of background or beliefs.
